GETTING THERE

"You don’t choose the day you enter the world and you don't chose the day you leave. It’s what you do in between that makes all the difference."

- Anita Septimus

BEDAWI works inbound only and we do not provide flights. Nowadays it is easy to book your ticket online and choose the flight that's best for you. For flights to South Sinai you search for: Sharm El Sheikh (SSH) or Taba (TCP).

If there are no direct flights operating you can opt to fly via Istanbul (IST) to Sharm El-Sheikh or via Cairo (CAI) to Sharm El-Sheikh with a conecting domestic flight. Egypt Air offers a good and regular service from many cities via Cairo to Sharm El-Sheikh and other airlines to check for a domestic flight are Nile Air, Air Cairo and FlyEgypt.

There is no working ferry between Hurghada <> Sharm El-Sheikh so do not buy tickets online from anyone.

The lisence is now given to a company from the United Arab Emirates and we hope they will offer this ferry service in the future.

Getting around in Egypt means covering substantial distances. Booking national flight tickets is straightforward with Egyptair, at one of their offices or online, as the state carrier has a virtual monopoly on national flights but you can also check out Nile Air, Air Cairo and Fly Egypt.

There are reliable bus services between most touristic places. East Delta buscompany operates in Sinai but also BlueBusand GoBus offer services.

If you can not spare the time or simply hate long bus rides, the best way to get around is by air or by hiring a car with a trusted driver. (For single travelers this is probably too expensive unless they can share a car.) In Sinai cars often need to obtain permissions the day before from the Tourism Police (for extra costs), so avoid last minute travel.
