BEDAWI selected the Rocketa Hotel as the best hotel for our guests in Dahab.

Dahab is known for its many guesthouses and camps. This used to be a cheap alternative for backpackers, but times have changed. The prices for a stay at the camps and outdated guesthouses seem attractive, but you should not expect a lot and the additional charged costs ultimately make it more expensive..

We can arrange a stay in a camp or guesthouse for you, but if you are not satisfied with the service, BEDAWI can not be held accountable.

The Rocketa hotel is an Egyptian-Bedouin enterprise and it opened its doors in June 2008. The hotel is situated in Masraba, in the heart of Dahab, right on the beach and away from any noise of the centre of Dahab, which can be reached by a romantic stroll along the promenade. It is built in a Nubian style and has 36 spacious air-conditioned rooms with ensuite bathrooms with fresh water (and thus no water made out of sea water which contains salt residu).

Every room has a mini-bar/fridge, a satellite TV (16 channels) and there is free wireless internet-access available.For families the hotel provides rooms door-to-door, so the parents can have their privacy but still can keep an eye on their kid(s).

This hotel is an example of the fact that Dahab has grown from a small fishing village and backpackers town with camps into a real touristic centre with a good standard of accomodation without loosing its rustic, easy going character. The friendly manager lived and worked in Germany for many years, so he understands the needs and wishes of western guests.

The private sandy beach provides a tranquil spot for sunbathing and it is equiped with free sunbeds and beach parasols.

There is easy access to the house reef in front of the hotel by a natural rock stairway (3 steps) so it is easy to snorkel along this unspoiled beautiful reef. A 20 minute stroll or a 5 min. car ride (LE 5 one way) takes you to the heart of the famous windsurf area and you can book your windsurfing also directly from the hotel.

In the centre of the hotel there is a well maintained swimming pool with free sunbeds. It is open 24 hours, giving a great opportunity for a romantic and atmospheric nocturnal swim under the stars.

In Dahab there are days that the wind is strong and it can be uncomfortable to sit at the sandy beach. The sheltered fresh water swimming pool is at those days a great alternative.

The Beach Bar offers a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (fresh juices and shakes) in addition to tasty meals to enjoy either at the beach or by the swimming pool.

The air-conditioned restaurant serves breakfast and dinner as an open buffet, but guests can also choose from the restaurant menu which offers a range of dishes including sea food. As the hotel is situated in the centre, you can also choose to have dinner in one of the many restaurants in town which are all nearby and can be reached by foot.

There is a qualified massage therapist who uses pure Egyptian oils to give you smooth skin and a marvelous sensation of luxury and being spoiled. There are several treatments to choose from.

The hotel has an integrated full service Dive Centre if you would like to go DIVING IN DAHAB and the hotel management intends to open a fitness centre in the near future where a personal trainer will be available.

6 - 11 years 50% charge, providing the children sleep in the parent's room.

12 years > as an adult.
